SVSL-Technique is based on the capability of geomedium fractures to re-emit an elastic energy
of seismic waves transferred to them by any seismic
source like vibrator, hammer, or explosion.
Scattered waves, re-emitted by geomedium fractures, are always present in a registering seismic
wave field.
Energetically they are 10-100 times weaker than a reflected component. Separating
and picking up these weak scattered waves with subsequent identification and
location of their
origination points within the geomedium have always been the main methodical problem. Nowadays,
it is solved by SVSL-Technique for oil and
gas field observation and seismic data processing.
