Chiriko is the child genius who saves all of the Suzaku Seishi and Miaka during the Summoning of Suzaku with his leaf whistle, because Amiboshi (a spy from the Seiryu Seven, actually a really, really good guy) was killing them with his flute music. He's drawn so cutely he resembles a girl! Chiriko later sacrifices himself to save the rest of the Suzaku Seven in a very heartwrenching scene...but I won't completely spoil it for you.
