Nuriko is a guy who acts and dresses like a woman (although later on it's revealed that he's really a guy). There's good reason for this, though: his younger sister Kourin died in front of him when he was a child, and they were incredibly close. So afterwards, he refused to let go of her memory and decided to kind of let her spirit live vicariously through him by acting like a girl. (Or as she...oops I mean he...puts it: "I have abandoned the path of manhood for the sake of love!" since he loves Hotohori.) Of course later on things get complicated when he begins to fall for Miaka (and it's really very sweet!)...until something terrible happens to him. I don't want to spoil it for you. ^_^ You probably know anyway, but it made me aware of just exactly how noble he is and how much I hate, loathe, despise Ashitare. Nuriko's power is his incredible strength, which is further enhanced by the bracelets Taiitsukun gives him, and is extremely important to the Suzaku Seven's quest for the Shinzaho. (Satisfied, Ms. Itai no da?)
