My Friend
Dont ever fall in love my friend
you see it does not stay
although it causes broken hearts
it happens every day
You wonder where she is at night
you wonder if she's true
one moment you are happy
the next you're feeling blue
Then it starts you don't know why
you worry day and night
you see my friend, you're losing her
it seldom turns out right
Love is great, but it hurts too much
the price you pay is high
If I could choose between love and death
I would rather die
So when I say, don't fall in love
you'll be hurt before you're through
you see my friend, I ought to know

With Distance Between Us
my eyes have never seen your face,
although my heart has felt your grace,
my hands have never touched your skin,
but i feel your presence deep within,
you live so very far away,
but your on my mind night and day,
my arms have never held you tight,
but when they do it'll feel so right,
i know i have never felt like this,
i long to feel your passionate kiss,
the sky is now a pinkish hue,
the sunset makes me think of you,
i dream about the day we'll meet,
your love has made my life complete,
i want to feel your gentle touch,
who'd of thought i cared so much,
i can't see you but what i can see,
is that you are the perfect one for me,
i love you more than words can say,
so i know that God will make a way.

That Special Night
I remember the night I met you
Even then I didn't have a clue.
You gave me a friendly smile
Then sat to talk to me for a while.
I could tell you were one of the nice guys
When I looked into your big brown eyes.
And now I'm beginning to see
That you're far more than I thought you'd be.
You've given me friendship, respect, and love
Sometimes I'm convinced you were sent from above.
I was looking for love- that was true
And love is what I found the night I met you.

My Forest
Walking into the enchanted woods,
I feel the life surrounding me.
Numerous secrets are hidden here,
Waiting to be found
Will I ever learn them all?
My journey began easy,
Help was all around me.
But now darkness closes in
Sometimes I wonder
Am I all alone?
Here the woods are dark, forbodding,
The briars cut and scratch me.
As many time before,
I feel the pain that life can bring.
Can I find the secret to getting past this pain?
Deep within the afflicting thicket,
A true friend I have found.
She helps me through my struggle,
For this I am grateful.
Will I be able to repay her when she needs a friend?
Past the pain I find a clearing,
Happiness I find here where it's warm,beautiful, and bright
I don't want to leave here,
But I know that time will come.
Will it be too soon?
