Contrary to popular belief, rabbits are not rodents. They are "lagomorphs."
Rabbits may be kept outdoors in a hutch. Some of the smaller breeds may be
kept indoors. Rabbits may be litter box trained and allowed to roam the house.
NEVER, EVER PICK UP A RABBIT BY ITS EARS!!! They don't like it any more
than you would!
After a gestation period of 28 to 31 days, the mother rabbit, or doe, gives
birth to a litter of 5 to 12 babies. The babies are weaned at about 42 days
of age.
