Blessing
In the night
And in the day
May there be something
To light your way
In the woods
Or in a pack
May there be some one
To watch your back
In your life
Full of fear
May there be some one
Always near

Winters Past
The moon is high
The owl cries
You know you're not alone
The wind dies down
You turn around
Something's watching you
You run really fast
You run from your past
And hope it won't catch you

Necklace
It's beauty holds
The past untold
It sits there brightly shining
It's gold chain
Would look so plain
Without the jewels on it
It's secrets kept
Are of wives who wept
Of loss of their young children
And of strong, brave men
Who's lives did end
By the sword of their own brother
And there it sits
Keeping it's secrets
Behind it's jewel and gold
It's secrets and stories
It's losses and glories
Will always remain untold

Moon
It's pale blue light
Shines down in the night
It stands by
In the big black sky
It's glowing light
Brightens the night
It leaves for the day
But will return at night

Help
To the Lord
I do pray
Help me through
This long hard day
Help me to think
Help me to learn
And hear your word
Help me to know
What to do
Help me to remember
To thank you

Listen
Hear the woods
Hear the birds
Hear the animals
Hear God's words
Hear a song
Hear a cry
Hear your friends
Hear a sigh
Hear the nights
Hear the days
Listen to God
And sing his praise

The Friend
The wolves are running
The hummingbirds humming
They know a human is near
The earth is shaking
The earth is quaking
Everything is in fear
But a little girl
Sits quiet and still
Cooking herself a meal
A courious cub
Wondering what's going on
Goes up to see her
She puts down her hand
Full of bread and of ham
To let the little cub eat
No hate in their mind
As two of a kind
And show that friendship isn't hard to find.
