Was engaged to Mary Duvall, a ex-nun who was married to Dr. Mark McCormick. She carried Mason`s child but was killed at the roof of the Capwell hotell with a letter C that fell on her.Had an agreement for a child with Julia Wainwright. Married Tori because of the money and for her sister Eden. Took the child Tori got pregnant with Cruz Castillo to his name. Everybody thinks that the child is his, exept for C.C., Pearl and Sophia. Was held captive by the indian Willie who was killed when he got an electric chock. He had a time bomb on him when he was found by Kelly, Mason and Julia. He is now defending Cruz with Julia. Was very angry when Tori had gotten an acting job for a play in Santa Barbara from Mel Stock. Founded out that Elena is her sister and took flowers to her grave. Now he has blamed himself of the outcome of the trial. Founded out that Tori was doing nudescenes in her movie, after he saw her in bed naked with an actor at the set of that movie. Was thought dead after an accident after a bomb in the convent where he was undercover to find the true killer of Mark McCormick. He appeared a few months later as Sonny Sprockett, a gambler, womenizer cowboy, was brought back by Gina and Keith. He has a split personality and is also romancing Gina, which Keith doesn�t like though he has his own problems at the moment. He just got locked with CC in the winecellar by Gina but now he has realized that there isn�t any air coming to the cellar. Mason came forward when Gina played some tapes to him while he was asleep and now he has both the personalities of Mason and Sonny. He isn�t at all happy to the forwarding marriage to Julia. He helped Gina to destroy papers that could get her in jail.

FYI: Lane knew what he was going to do from an early age. Lane`s interest in acting began when he helped prepare the sets for local theatre productions in Dalton, Georgia. While performimg a three-page soliloguy as a sophomore in high school, the audience started cheering enthusiastically. After high school, Lane enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University as a speech and theatre major, also performing professionally in dinner theatre while in college. After graduation, Lane starred in "Funland" for RMC Films, "The Magic of Lassie" with James Stewart and "The Suicide`s Wife" with Angie Dickinson, as well as many theatre productions and musicals. Lane`s career moved into high speed when he portrayed the brooding, misanthropic Evan Whyland on the daytime series "Days of Our Lives". Other television appearances at the time included parts in "The Young and the Restless", "CHIPs" and "Dallas". Lane is one of the original cast in 1984 in "Santa Barbara". Lane took 2 mounths off from "Santa Barbara" each summer to participate in the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, where he starred in the "Taming of the Shrew", "Much Ado About Nothing" and "Twelfth Night" and directed "A Midsummer Night`s Dream". Even while acting in "Santa Barbara", Lane starred in Los Angeles productions of "Macbeth", "Hamlet" and "Cyrano de Bergerac" and directed "The taming of the Shrew". Additionally Lane has appeared in "Dracula", "Ah Wilderness!" and "Inherit the Wind" at the Alley Theatre, "Jumpers" and "Two Gentlemen of Verona" at the Trinity Square Repertory Company, and "Henry V", "As You Like It", and "Julius Caesar" at the Globe Playhouse. To relax Lane enjoys carpentry and finds solace at his cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains, where he can enjoy both fishing and skiing, depending on the season. He is the artistic director at Santa Susana Repertory Company and he can be seen in "Lois and Clark" as Tempus.
