001 [1.01-97] Nativity / Das Krippenspiel
In the nativity play at school Brian plays a sheep and his only line
is a 'Baah'. Sounds easy, doesn't it? But that's in the evening:
before attending Brian's great moment Eric must get over his day -
which starts with stress, continues with stress and ends in pure
stress. In the morning Maria, the au-pair girl, isn't a great help
since she prefers partying at night and sleeping on day rather than
doing her job. Then Eric's case with important documents 'explodes'
and at work the only sheet missing is the most important - and Eric
already faces being fired. And that's just the beginning of the day ...

002 [1.02-97] Pony / Eseleien
Reading Claire's diary Eric finds out that she wants a pony but can't
bring herself to ask him. With Eric encouraging her to ask him if she
wants anything (after all, she must do it because otherwise she'd know
that he has read her diary) she finally does and Eric - who has enough
difficulties to even raise money for the handyman - promises to get
a pony for her. But he underestimated the costs and the only thing
he can afford is an old donkey. Nevertheless Claire wants to take
part in the big pony-jumping tournament.

003 [1.03-97] Hospital / Ein Notfall kommt selten allein
An important job interview is lined up for Eric. He's up on time, the
morning is routine (although not that harmonic), everything's fine -
until he leaves. Right in front of the house an ambulance runs him
down. And the real stress then starts at the hospital ...

004 [1.04-97] Sex / Alle tun es!
Sex - part of everyone's life ... except of Eric's. The fact that his
college flame calls him after a long time is just perfect timing: well,
sort of. He has to write an important speech, his ex-wife Liz wants to
see him attending an exhibition of her latest ceramics and Claire wants
to go to the 'Allergy International Fair'. But there's always a time
for romance, isn't it?

005 [1.05-97] Potato / Die Jagd nach der Kartoffel
Extremely short on money (even his roof is pledged) Eric decides to
ask P.P. for an advance - but instead he invites him over for dinner.
P.P. accepts since he doesn't know where to go with the visiting
chairman of the Potato-Development-Commission anyway. P.P. suggests
that some potato dishes who fit perfectly for dinner. Now Eric has
a job for the rest of day ...

006 [1.06-97] Tidy / Ein sauberes Geschaeft
Eric's company is about to sign a contract with a Japanese company. One
of the most important attitudes the Japanese require is tidiness. And
for their visit the company must be clean inside out. Eric has time
until five to clean up his mess. Unfortunately on that day rats take
over his house and he has to wait for hours for the exterminator. His
secretary, Alison, at the office is - as usual - no big help.
