001 [1.01-87] The Highwayman (Pilot; 2 hours)
Merrick, Bo and four other members of a platoon back in Vietnam
founded a transporting company. But Merrick's intentions also involve
getting the fast money by illegal means. The others refused to help
and got fired. The Highwayman, a US-Marshal, was assigned to help Bo,
the leader of the five guys, but Bo has just raided a bank and has
landed in jail. Though the Highwayman was called back he tries to
find out what's going on, basically thanks to a clue given by Bo's
son. Bo has found out that Merrick has stored $10 Mio. black money
in deposit-boxes. With the money in his hands now, Bo has hidden it.
Merrick, who has the town under his control, of course wants to have
his money back and the sheriff with his deputies is the right man for
that job. To get in touch with the imprisoned Bo, Highwayman tries to
get arrested. In prison then learns the full story. The next steps
are getting out of the jail and find out where Merrick got all that
money from. And of course get rid of this sheriff who always stays (or
at least wants to stay) close on his heels. After Highwayman found out
that Merrick is selling stolen cars to the Persian Gulf he has the
proof necessary to take actions against Merrick.

which he, according to him, has never committed. Now after years in
prison he seems to have new evidence that he is innocent. Highwayman
is ordered to pay him a visit, get the new information and check it.
But he helps Cody to break out and now both are chased by Bonham and
Jetto who should bring Cody back to prison. Highwayman tries to help
Cody to get the proof: they meet Bonham, Winthrop's boss and the one
who is, according to Cody, the real robber. While Highway is waiting
for him he is struck down from behind. After waking up again, the
armored car with Bonham inside has exploded. The case seems to be
closed but then he finds a picture of Cody and his daughter at the
place where the car was hidden. So Cody, who is on duty again, has a
