Aunt Sade died in her sleep at the age of 84 yrs 6 mos 28 days. Sheraised
me (Terry B. HARDY) and 3 of my younger siblings from the time I was 6yrs old
and when she took us she was about 69 years old. Her headstone reads "OUR
OTHER MOTHER"and she truly was. She earned her place in heaven many times
over. I'm not sure about her husband. Aunt Sade once told me shemarried at
age 19, but it lasted only a short time, BUT the 1920 US Census showsJames
(52) & Sarah (43) STATON living on Platt St. in Sac City, Sac Co., Iowa.!!

Bradford (now Groveland), Mass. where he became owner of one thousandacres of land. A codicil to his will (4 Mar 1671-2) dated 12 Dec 1677said he was ab.72

John died on Monday, 29 Jun 1964, according to his obituary in the Sac Sun
Newspaper. Rev. Virgil W. NEVILLE of the Sac City Christian Churchconducted
the funeral service Wednesday afternoon, 1 Jul 1964. LOSURE STREET onthe
north side of golf course is named after John. John was my (Terry B.HARDY)
great-uncle and his being a police officer in Sac City, Iowa had itsshare of
influence on my growing up in Sac City and my career as a police officerwhich
started in the USAF (1957), I'm now Chief of Police in Carlisle, Iowa(1997).
