How many students and staff attend Banting? Banting has 447 students in grades preK - 6th, served by 72 staff members. What classroom services are provided? Every spring, staff is assigned to elementary schools in the district using official count days and a formula of 25:1. Additionally, all students receive regular instruction in physical education, art and music from specialists in their respective fields. We share a reading specialist with one other school, and we share our computer specialist, psychologist, librarian, and a social worker with several schools. How do I contact my child's teacher? We welcome the opportunity to hear from you! Most questions and concerns regarding the classroom can be resolved directly with the classroom teacher. How do I report my child's absence? It is the responsibility of parents to report all student absences to the school office before 8:30 AM. on the day of the absence. Please call the Banting Absence Reporting Line at (262) 970 - 1216, and give the student's name, grade, and reason for absence. Please note that if you are planning a family trip, a "Request For Excused Absence For Educational Purpose" form must be filled out and approved two weeks in advance of the absence.
