Banting has 447 students in grades preK - 6th, served by 72 staff members.

What classroom services are provided?
Every spring, staff is assigned to elementary schools in the district using official count days and a formula of 25:1. Additionally, all students receive regular instruction in physical education, art and music from specialists in their respective fields.

We share a reading specialist with one other school, and we share our computer specialist, psychologist, librarian, and a social worker with several schools.

How do I contact my child's teacher?
We welcome the opportunity to hear from you! Most questions and concerns regarding the classroom can be resolved directly with the classroom teacher. Here are the best ways to contact your child's teacher:

Send a note directly to your child's teacher, including your question, phone number and the best time to call.
Call the teacher's room directly. A list of contact numbers is included on the "Contact Us" page. If the teacher is in class, you will reach their voice mail, where you can leave a message.

Your message will receive a prompt reply.

How do I report my child's absence?
It is the responsibility of parents to report all student absences to the school office before 8:30 AM. on the day of the absence. Please call the Banting Absence Reporting Line at (262) 970 - 1216, and give the student's name, grade, and reason for absence.

Please note that if you are planning a family trip, a "Request For Excused Absence For Educational Purpose" form must be filled out and approved two weeks in advance of the absence. These are available in the Banting school office.

If I want to volunteer to help, who do I contact?
Banting welcomes your involvement, encouragment, and help to make our school a better place for our students to learn!

In the classroom, your child's teacher may have many specific needs, such as reading to students, providing craft resources, xeroxing and clerical assistance, etc. Talk with your child's teacher directly to offer your help.
The P.T.O. organizes and runs major fundraiser activities that directly benefit the school. Examples include providing playground equipment and defraying the costs of many field trips.

Contact your P.T.O. Board about how you can help.

P.T.O. meetings are held monthly, every second Tuesday at 7:00 pm in the school's Media Center.
