[188] While on family vacation I found GGGrandfather Robert in the old Smithville Cementary, Henderson Twp., Jefferson County New York with Lucetta L. & Christia D. on both sides of him (all 3 had small headstones with name markers).

I spoke with Pauline LaFontaine whose the cementary's historian having information of those buried above. Her address is 13723 County Route 75, Adams, New York 13605. Phone # 315-232-4378. She was very helpful &
cooperative. I anticipate other Brodie(s) in this cementary!

Naturalization record information obtainable from County Clerk's Office in Watertown on Brodie, Robert # 4338; Born-Scotland Age 26; Emigerated-Scotland to Mince, Cayuga Co., NY 31 July 1844; Residence-Town of Ellisburg; Naturized 16 Dec. 1858. Found this information while at the Flower Library's Genealogical Dept. in Watertown, NY. Robert migrated to New York via N.Y. harbor as he lost his straw hat as the ship was entering into the harbor.

Siblings were all born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland which is in northern part of Ayrshire between Ayr & Glasgow.
