Several
filters with very interesting effects are described below.

Axion
Software offers several commercial filters which produce lens Flares
and sparkle effects. Several older versions of their commercial counterparts
are offered for free and may be downloaded from their site. The freebies
include Axion Lens Flare 16bit, Axion Glow 16bit, Axion Lens Flare32 and
Glow32 |

Mark's
Filters: Mark offers three filters on his site. Page Curl, Remove White
and Page Curl II. Page Curl: creates a curl effect on the edge of a picture
such as the one shown in the example on the left. Remove white will make
white pixels transparent, and partially white pixels partially transparent.
Page curl II: is much improved over the original version. as it has several
adjustments to help you get the curl the size and in the position you want. |

NVR
Border Mania Plugins for Photoshop, PSP and Corel Photo-Paint.
This
package creates a variety of basic borders around images and are particularly
well suited to creating buttons for Web pages. Both English and French
Versions are available. This filter is distributed as a combination Freeware/Shareware
package. The Pro features of this package are based on a 30 day evaluation
period and after that a license fee /registration is required to use the
enhanced features. The regular features of this package remain usable after
the 30 day period and may be used for free. |

Rave by Harry the Raver. Platform: Windows and Macintosh
VideoRave:
Includes 32 filters most of which produce different colored effects on
an image. Cryptology: 7 filters which allow one to encrypt and decrypt
picture and video files. Nirvana: 4 filters which generate colored patterns.
The
image on the left which give the appearance of an old photo was produced
with Harry's [email protected] filter. |
