- Due to reconstruction
of Sarajevo Airport all departing flights will use old terminal building
and all arriving flights will use part of the new terminal building.New
modern terminal will replace the old one damaged in the war.New terminal
will be open in september 2000.

to Budapest
- In future a joint flight
to Sarajevo will be operated by Malev and the Bosnian airline Air Bosna.This
spring Malev the first of the European airlines to initiate flight to the
Bosnian capital,and following the end of the Balkan conflict it again was
the first to fly to Sarajevo.The flight has been more successful than expacted,which
is primarlily due to the fact that business people flying to and from Bosnia
made the Hungarian airline their first choice.This is also becouse Malev
offers excellent connections to Europe and world from its Budapest hub.In
september,besisades the weekly four Malev flights altogether eight are operated
on route Budapest-Sarajevo.

first ATR-42
- Air Bosna introduces its
first ATR-42
on its international network.Based in Sarajevo,the route network of Air
Bosna includes routes over Germany,Austria,Croatia,Turkey,Sweden,Denmark
and Hungary.The introduction of this modern aircraft is a major move of Air
Bosna that aims to offer the best level of services.The aircraft was previously
operated by Brit Air on the French domestic network.ICARE, the training
centre of Brit Air trained the Bosnian pilots and the maintenace will be
performed under the JAR 145 Brit Air organization.This deal is arranged by
