The first match pitted Ceman/Kiraly against Fonoimoana/Whitmarsh. At the first side change, Ceman/Kiraly were up 3-2. This was as close as Fonoimoana and Whitmarsh would get. With side changes at 7-3, 11-4, 14-6, Ceman and Kiraly won this one easily 15-6. The second match , young guns Ceman and Fonoimoana teamed up against the old guard Kiraly and Whitmarsh. |

It looked like the young guns would blow the old guard out, with side changes at 4-1, 8-2, and 10-5. Kiraly and Whitmarsh would make a couple of late runs. It would prove not to be enough, losing to Ceman and Fonoimoana 15-9. |

Between match two and three, Mike Whitmarsh developed back spasms, and was unable to continue. According to guidelines for the King-of-the-Beach format, he was replaced with Kent Steffes. |

Match three pitted Fonoimoana and Kiraly against Ceman/Steffes. This one was never close. Ceman and Steffes could not seem to communicate while Kiraly and Fonoimoana looked like they had been partners for years, blowing out Ceman and Steffes 15-3. What would happen if these two decided to pair up? |
