Opening Day June 3rd!
The opening day of the second season for the Chico Mavericks is on Sunday, June 3rd at Chico High Varsity baseball field.  The field has undergone improvements during the off-season.  Players and fans can now enjoy a grass infield that looks awesome.  The Mavs open on Sunday with a double-header against Vallejo starting at noon.  The Mavs are now 3-1 for the season.

Thanks to the hard work of Neil Christie, the Mavericks web site is up and running.  Neil did a first class job that rivals, if not exceeds, top corporate web sites worldwide.  "An excellent job on the web site, this is good for the league," commented Winters Merchants coach Jerry Smith.  By the way, Neil was a fine pitcher for the Mavericks last season as well.

Mavericks Shirts and Hats
Mavericks shirts and hats are now available at the Oasis Restaurant and by calling the Yoder's or the Koehler's.  Hats are $15.00 and shirts are $10.00.  Help support the team and look good too!  The Oasis is located at: 1007 W. 1st Ave, due west of CSUC.
