Dear Potential
Sponsors,
We would like
to begin by thanking you for considering the Chico Mavericks Baseball Club
for sponsorship.
We, as a
coaching staff and board, are very excited to be providing another outlet
for the young men in our area to participate at a highly competitive level
of baseball. This summer, our team will begin play in the
prestigious South Bay League in the Joe DiMaggio baseball division.
This is a very competitive league that ranges from Chico in the North, to
San Francisco in the South with teams in such cities as Fairfield,
Vallejo, and Napa in between. Our league also includes last year's
state champions, the Winters Merchants.
Our team will
be comprised of the best sixteen through nineteen year old high school
student athletes in the area. We have players from Gridley,
Oroville, Las Plumas, Pleasant Valley, Paradise, Chico, and Red Bluff high
schools. When choosing our roster of 18 players, we are not only
looking for the most talented athletes, but also the young men who we feel
will best represent our program and their communities. Our schedule
of 40-45 games over 65 days will attest to the dedication in these young
men. Our hope is to be the best team for our age group in northern
California. Our ultimate goal, however, is to not only be successful
on the baseball field but to build solid citizens as well. We hope
to help everyone in our program to continue their education and baseball
careers after high school and on through college.
We cannot,
however, do this alone. Our budget for travel, equipment and
uniforms is very high. We are currently in the process of contacting
business people in the area, such as yourself to help defer some of the
cost away from our players and their parents. Any help that you
could give us in this area would be deeply appreciated.
