The History of the Award:

Very often, wrestlers go the extra mile for the fans. Sometimes wrestlers get hurt in the ring, and through some force of will or love of the sport or just plain insanity, continue on with the match.  Who can forget the infamous Hell in the Cell match where Mick Foley continued on when he should have been hospitalized?  How about when Steve Austin was the recipient of a piledriver gone wrong, but still managed to finish the match, only to be helped backstage by a bunch of refs?

This section of Mad Phat honors those wrestlers who go that extra mile for us, the unworthy fans.  Thank you.

(Note: this award was born in May, 1999, so awards are presented thereafter)

August, 1999: Balls Mahoney (at Heatwave '99) Balls was to be put through a flaming table, but apparently something went wrong, and he landed on his head instead. It looked like a pretty nasty bump, and we here at Mad Phat Wrestling would appreciate it if Balls would stop acting like a nut, because we'd like to enjoy his wrestling abilities for a long, long time.
May, 1999: Jerry Lynn (at Hardcore Heaven) Jerry was rendered unconcious, or nearly so, when he took a bad fall outside the ring. After coming to, he finished his match with Rob Van Dam, which went on for another twenty or so minutes. Reports say that Jerry was taken to the hospital immediately after the match where he was treated for a concussion.  Other reports indicate that he just re-injured a previously broken nose, either way, it was a nasty bump.
