Here I am with a friend I hardly ever get to see because he lives in Michigan and, as you can see by the shirt, he's damn proud of it. Chad had been sent to NY a few years back for some kind of conference, so he called me ( I lived in NJ, then) to see if I wanted to visit him while he was there and wander around SoHo. It proved to be an interesting adventure --- especially since I'd never been in SoHo before. Unfortunately, I haven't seen him since --- not even at any WorldCons (I met him at ChiCon V, the only time I've been to Chicago). Such is life.

This ia another friend that I see even less often than once in a blue moon. Like Chad, Grieg lives in Michigan and I met him at ChiCon V. This picture was taken at the end of the WorldCon in Winnipeg (in '94) by Nancy (Grieg's girlfriend-soon-to-be-fiancee), using my camera, while they were waiting for the parking valet to bring up their car. Grieg and Nancy have since gotten married.
