Hi! My name is Rebecca Kate Symmans (aka Becky Boo, Kal, Kallexiana) and I was born on January 22, 1981. I'm from Perth, Western Australia but I'm currently living in Auckland, NZ with my boyfriend, Matt. While I am in NZ I will be studying a Biology/Geography Double Major at The University of Auckland.
Well those of you who know me know I love animals. I have several pets back home in Oz that Mum and Dad are looking after, thanks Mum and Dad! Matt and I have also bought a kitten, Caesar, who lives with us in our apartment in the city. He's such a cutie. If you'd like to meet my pets the links are provided at the bottom of the page. Apart from owning a few pets I have bred birds (including Zebra, Blackheart and Gouldian Finches, Diamond Doves, Budgies and Quails) Of course this has all come a halt since I have been in NZ but I plan to start again when I get back home. I have also done some volunteer work with animals including Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, RSPCAWA and The Animal Protection Society of WA. So, what sort of things do I like?? I love music and I'm often called a walking Jukebox. Music wise I'm fairly easy going. I like a whole mixture of different music but my favourite artists would probably have to be Madonna, U2, INXS , Savage Garden and most other Aussie bands. I love Aussie Rock music, especially Icehouse "Great Southern Land" and Gangajang "This is Australia". My favourite day of the year also ties in with this. Australia Day (Jan 26) is my favourite day. I love getting together with my friends and watching the Skyshow on the foreshore with all the other proud Perth people. It's such a great day. If you ever go to Perth, Australia, make sure you're there for the Skyshow!!
My other favourites, gee, OK. Favourite movies includes Merlin, NeverEnding Story, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Never Been Kissed, Forrest Gump, Field of Dreams, Hurricane etc etc (too many, basically if it has Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Drew Barrymore and Kevin Costner then I like it!) My favourite book right now is "Tully" by Paullina Simons. I tend to like Real Life/True Story books and movies. I also like animal stories.
Last, but not least, there's all the people I love, my family and friends. My Mum, Vicki, and my Dad, Maurice and my brother, Matthew (not to be mistaken for my boyfriend Matt) Thanks for everything guys, I love you all! Hopefully I haven't been to unbearable over the years (I bet your glad I moved overseas :)) Mum and Dad are great. Mum works as a Medical Receptionist and Dad's a Cabinetmaker which is so cool because he makes all my cool furniture. Mum's been the one who helped me hand in my late assignments and Dad's coached me in T-Ball, Netball, you name it. Matthew's been a great brother (he's a real sweetie) and although he's never home, he's still a great brother when you need him. Matt's doing really well for himself. He's currently a manager person for Cuckoo Chef, Carousel (for those of you who know it) Well, my friends, my lifeline, there are too many to name here, Thanks for being there for me guys. I miss you!! I have dedicated a page to all you guys, My Friends, so go check it out. And Matt, my boyfriend. I love you Matt! Thanks for being so understanding. I couldn't have done this without you. We've been together for almost 2 years now and I've loved you every minute of it. Love you!!!! xoxox
