  What it is

COMMUTES is a 'NULL MODEM COMMUNICATION' program. If you've got 2 computers linked up with a null modem cable, you can 'chat' with the person behind the other computer.

  How it works

The COMMUTES.ZIP distribution package contains 2 files:

        COMMUTES.EXE     the actual program
        COMMUTES.TXT     this document

The COMMUTES.EXE send each entered character to screen and also to COM port. Characters that are entered on the COM port are also put on screen. The screen is divided in 2 half, one half displaying what was entered on THAT computer, the other half shows the text entered on the other computer.

  Installation

Decide where you want to keep the program. For example: C:\COMMUTES
  CD \
  MD COMMUTES

Copy the COMMUTES.ZIP to the directory.
  XCOPY COMMUTES.ZIP C:\COMMUTES\

Goto directory and unzip the archive.
  CD C:\COMMUTES
  PKUNZIP COMMUTES.ZIP

You now can execute the program.
  COMMUTES
