Hello! I'm Rodolfo Stusser, M.D., Havana University faculty & researcher from 1968-2010 focused on clinical research challenges of primary health care medicine, in the U.S. since 2010

This web site is guided by the principle that "Liberty is the right that every man has to be honest, to think and talk without hypocrisy", defended by the Cuban apostle José Martí in his book 'The Golden Age', 1889, USA. That be what God wants!

{1-page & 4-page updated resumes Word in U.S. format c.v.}

Havana, Aug. 2009

In 1989-1992 disintegrated the USSR & its Cuban satellite collapsed, Lolita & I reopened our eyes & hearts to God & the US again. Lord you found us, have mercy of us! Hearing state-interferred Martí Radio & by censored snail-mail, email & pirate internet we reintegrated western values, traditions, families, friends & peoples. We rediscovered the true reality of Cuba & the exterior world lost disabled for 33 years by yet unclassified (in the WHO-ICD) psychiatric functional illnesses: mental cognitive regression & social alienation due to a 24-hour socialist misinformation & terror in a dungeon-island (until I had 4-years retired as M.D. in 2010 & liberated).

My main interest in freedom is to continue giving my expertise investigating, teaching (research/trials training) & consulting on unconventional global primary health care general medicine research, on how to measure & enhance the right balance between: Quality & duration of living & health care standards & levels; Info-technologies & bio-technologies in GP research & development; and Scientific invention & discovery of re-integrative, positive health & preventive hypotheses by GPs & specialists -all interests rejected at Havana. However, if necessary I'll do primary medicine/public health with Alaskan Eskimos or in Indian Reservations.

In Jan. 1969, I was graduated at Havana University (HU) Medical School & National Center for Scientific Research (CNIC), as professor & researcher, but due to critical-revisionist philosophical-political thinking, I was thrown from its Physiology Dept. in 1970 by Fidel Castro (without an assembly of scientists I requested to defend my position), and sent as GP to rural service in Oriente. In 1974, I returned to HU adjunct centers as professor & researcher on research-methods/biostatistics, primary care, clinical oncology & cardiology, family medicine, nuclear medicine, global health, informatics/telehealth & clinical/health research creativity, but blocked by the government for: a) HU tenure system, payment & privileges, b) HU defense of a 1987 critical Ph.D. degree-thesis on cancer prevention research, c) WHO consultant positions abroad --18 applications in 1990-2009, d) exchanges in the US --33 in 1994-2009, & all exchanges abroad in 2002-09.

I'm advancing with uncensored 24-hr WI-FI & an ocean of information in the University of Miami Otto Richter, Cuban Heritage Collection & Louis Calder Libraries, a 12-yr private research on "Cuba's population health quality & duration standards & levels: Advances, stagnations & setbacks, 1900-1958;1959-2012", impossible to complete & publish in Havana. I would greatly appreciate any kind of scientific, moral or publishing support to this final effort!

Thanks God for the Internet! Welcome to our Freelance Web Sites:

100-word resume: Physician trained 1962-87 as faculty/researcher on brain/heart physiology, clinical propedeutics, urban/rural internal/general medicine, public health, biostatistics/epidemiology/informatics. 46 years investigating on history/logic/methods of scientific research of lab/clinical/health service/system research/trials on MI/CAD, infant/maternal, cancer, stroke's preventable mortality, forecast-policy/program in CENIC/CIC, Health, Cancer & Heart institutes, hospitals/polyclinics, with East Europe-Comecon 1977-88, WHO & UNESCO 1988-2012. 48 years teaching students/residents, faculty/researchers at Havana 1963-2010, Managua 1988-90 & US Universities 2010-12. Research/teaching & consulting on challenges of primary medicine research (for 41 years); balancing info/bio tech, invention/testing hypotheses in global health research (15 yr), & human living/health development in free/captive Cuba's periods (13 yr). 4-page updated c.v. HTML, Word; 400-word resume & bio-sketch.

From 1971-2011, I'm a GP supporting the HU primary care medicine scientific research & training. In 2001, I became the first Cuban international AAFP member (website), while was voluntary medical lecturer/adviser/liaison of Havanatur Tourist Agency to U.S. People to People Professional Ambassadors Programs 2000-02, member NAPCRG (2007-), president of an informal Havana PTPI Adult Chapter (2000-10), which couldn't work fully due to the Cuban government hostility against open exchange with U.S. citizens.

From Havana I had medical exchanges paid from Moscow (2), Edinburgh, Geneva (2), Heidelberg & Bangkok; & a 2-year consultancy & professorship in Managua --obliged to live in Nicaragua without my family. From 1959-2010, the Cuban state supported me only an exchange in Bogota & Glasgow-Dundee. For 51-years, I could never travel abroad with wife (always hostage at Havana) nor visit the U.S.

My last proposals to the Cuban government were the Vedado PHC Research (2004) & PHC Research e-Network/Center (2005) initiatives, to reorganize all our health research/research training system in function of primary care medicine needs. Ignored them, in 2005, I retired to do freelance research (icluding some interests on meta-medicine & public health postponed since 1968), teaching, tutelage & consulting abroad physically or virtually by researh-collaboratories & tele-conferences sites.

I would love to exchange on primary care research policies/systems & methodology/logic in nations as Iceland, South Korea, New Zealand, Cyprus, Hong Kong & Taiwan in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Israel, Egypt, South Africa, Chile, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago, Estonia, Slovenia, Ireland, Holland, Scandinavia, Canada, Kerala in India, and Sri Lanka, among others. I could give 116 Lectures/Courses (rejected at Havana) on: Cuba's Health Care & Research & Global Primary Care Research Challenges. [64 Papers written in retirement 2006-2012 (most of them banned at Havana].

Why don't we share experiences, reflections, concerns & projects? Thanks for your time, any critic, suggestion, or just a greeting.
