STATEMENT BY W.D. RICHTER CONCERNING A REQUEST BY THE FOX NETWORK THAT THEY MIGHT COMMISSION A PILOT SCRIPT FOR AN EXTENDED TELEVISION EXAMINATION OF THE LIFE AND TIMES OF DR. BUCKAROO BANZAI:

As for addresses at Fox to show our support, I should have *exactly* who we need to contact for you soon. In the meantime, spread word to friends and on websites (newsgroups too, but be aware of nettiquete - don't spam to groups where it'd be off topic and cause a negative backlash) and plan out your positive and POLITE letters. (This last point is important: There was at least one fan support campaign in the past in which the fans made an enemy of the person in power, so they actually helped to kill the project in question.)

The Transcript -- Newly added! Probably the most complete, almost certainly the most double-checked version of the movie transcript that will be available. Currently in beta version; we hope to have the final edition up soon. If you find this version elsewhere, they got it from us. ArcLight has permission; anyone else that wants to mirror it should mail us. This link became available 1 August 1998!
