  • ArcLight's World Watch Online -- Sign up for the newletter mailing list here, visit the Institute's online film room, or just browse the archives.
  • My Virtual Reference Desk -- Looking for something? This list of resources will probably help you find it if it's on the web. Evidently his friends thought so, or it wouldn't have gotten to its present size.
  • National Geographic -- Interested in travel or the environment? This is a good place to start.
  • Newman Editorial is online to provide you with photo scanning and poster production services.
  • Borders is one of our favorite bookstores. Now they're on the web too. Of course, you can't get cappuchino, or chai, in their online coffeehouse, but that won't bother the bibliophile.
  • Juno -- Need free e-mail? If you can access it from a stable location, Juno's basic service may be a good bet. Their anti-spamming policy means that people requiring your e-dress won't laugh at you like they do with HotMail sometimes. It's completely free unless you have to dial long distance to connect (something they're working on rapidly) or want them to send you the software on disk (one time fee, under $10 last we checked).
  • Or try Yahoo Mail for a web-based e-mail account.
  • Warehouse 23 -- Just need some relief from the tensions of the day? Wander around for awhile. You might get lucky and come across the Overthruster, or just find the vampire gummy bear. NOT for the faint of heart, but if you liked Men In Black, you'll love this.
  • eBay -- Looking for TABB merchandise and don't want to deal with Starland? Try searching this auction broker site; they do the work of arranging the sale, then you deal with the seller (or buyer) by e-mail and make the payment arrangements. No plastic required, but you need to register.  Sellers pay all eBay fees.
  • RealPlayer -- a very handy free plug-in for your graphical browsers. Listen to audio or watch video in real time. If you want to make Real Media files, though, you need RealPublisher (the company gives the player away so there's a market for the filemaker).
  • NPR (National Public Radio) -- a cool place to test your RealPlayer installation, or just to hear intelligent news and commentary. If you don't know where to find your local affiliate, this site will help you do that too.
  • We like to listen to Garrison Keilor talk about the latest doings in Lake Wobegon. Now you can hear him on the web too. Handy if you don't have a National Public Radio affiliate in your current location.
  • ZBS has also appeared on NPR, and bill themselves as producing "The Best in Radio Drama".  If you like "audio movies", pay them a visit to listen to their sample files.
  • Replay and Stomp invite you to visit Ralmar Ecoforestry Corporation at their web site. Planting native species of trees on overgrazed land is a tough job, but someone needs to do it, especially in Costa Rica. We like to help where we can.
  • Cool Free Clip Art & Resources -- If you're looking for clip art, backgrounds and the like, here's a good place to start which features plenty of stuff you won't see anywhere else.
Want to be included? Mail us your URL and we'll have a look. Sorry, but all URLs must work before we add your link, and if it's a Banzai site we don't know about yet, it'll go on the Banzai Links page rather than here. If your server doesn't respond, we'll try several times; but mis-typed URLs will get an e-mail notification. No bravos, Lectroids, or World Crime League members, please.
