Banzai Links:General Links:Banzai-Institute.com -- THE official site, as of Jan. 1, 1999. Check in here for updates on the potential FOX series and other goodies. NOT to be mistaken with banzai-institute.org, as an early erroneous report had it listed here earlier. Sorry about that, boss.ArcLight's World Watch Online -- one of the best on the web. This is his front page, but be sure to check out the archives if you're not familiar with the newsletter. You can now find a zip file of the first issue of the PAPER World Watch One newsletter from 1995 here too. relayer's Blue Blaze Station #23 in its new home. Rather more extensive than ArcLight's; definitely with more sound content than this site, and other neat things to see. Definitely in the top 3, for our money. Figment's Buckaroo Banzai FAQ has been around for quite awhile and is well worth checking out. If you have questions or comments about it, you can now e-mail him at his new addy.
Owl 123's page. A very colorful, largely textual page devoted to Buckaroo, with some links not currently available here. Read the scripts at your own risk, though; we're pretty sure they're not the most up-to-date versions at present.
The Viper Strike Force pages are also online and contain links to numerous graphics and other resources. We're told some of the material from Rafterman's old site is accessible from here. People whose systems are equipped to handle midi files get to listen to embedded music; however, this has been known to cause some people minor problems. Best quick fix: get an extention for your speaker cord (under $5 most places), and unplug as needful. You can also visit their Wedge Rat Strike Team.
BBI EldarKin Slayer has a new Banzai site, which is shows promise although it's still under construction. The 3-D text is particularly nice, and the overall effect is appropriately understated. Largely a set of links at present, but something to watch.
Buckaroo Banzai Mailing List/spambot trap Just what it says, a fake mailing list for the purpose of messing with the spam-spewwers of the virtual world. Some of the "names" on it are quite amusing, though.
Penny Priddy -- Evidently, there's more than one of her. This one is a government official in British Columbia, Canada. Sites containing the characters "legis.gov.bc.ca" are probably related to her, or someone she works with, like fellow government employee John Parker.
banzai-net -- a commercial web hosting organization. However, if you're interested in pyrotechnic displays and the people who put them on, you might like to try there anyway.
Virtual Dog Show / sites about Water Spaniels -- someone's got a dog named Buckaroo too. First llamas, now we're going to the dogs.
Perfect Tommy -- among others, this search will turn up a Quake Player, several pages relating to a band of this name, and references to another band named Perfect, whose lead man is named Tommy.
Hong Kong Cavaliers -- for some reason, even the search engines from which you can require all 3 words in the correct sequence will return hits relating to a basketball team (the Cavaliers, here in the US) and to the city of Hong Kong. There's also a site or two related to music that you might turn up -- the band Planet Ten and their horn section, the HKC.
And, of course, lots and lots of sites that only have a quote from the boss. If they've gotten it right, it's usually "No matter where you go, there you are." -- It frequently turns up as the misquote from The Brady Movie: "Wherever you go, there you are." (sometimes spelled "where ever". If your search engine supports refined searches or uses the minus sign to exclude things from a search, try including the minus sign followed by the first few words of the quote and/or the misquote to eliminate these hits.
SoundAmerica -- has a massive collection of sound files of many useful -- or just plain silly -- varieties.
