James Discovers Math

We have recently purchased this gem of a programme and it has to be *the* most wonderful Early Maths programme I've ever seen. Actually, it isn't me giving it the thumbs up - my students just love it.

One really great thing to note about this title is that, although it is published in the US, it is Australian authored. The accents of the characters are Australian, which is a lovely change for us.

Also, buy the School Version if you can. It contains extra activities, blackline masters and even some manipulative Maths shapes.

The T.V.

The T.V. has some great number songs and uses a variety of music styles. I have included some ideas to use with both number and listening skills, however you will find some additional activities both in the parent and teacher guides.

Pencil Case

This activity involves estimation of length. It is rather cute!

More Coming

I have my hands full at the moment, but rest assured I will bring you details of the other wonderful activities in this programme.
