Kid Pix and Kid Pix Studio

I have developed these strategies using "Kid Pix" and "Kid Pix Studio" by Craig Hickman, published by Broderbund. A version which was released between the two was "Kid Pix Companion" which contained additonal stamps, pictures and activities, and the ability to create slideshows. Kid Pix Studio contains all these and more. It is actually several programmes in one.

The activities in Kid Pix Studio are:

* Stampimator - create a picture and then move your stamps around in it. A basic animation programme.

* Slide Show - create a series of pictures and sequence them to make a story or show.

* Moopies - stamps and drawing tools (Wacky brushes) are animated in this module. You can save your creation as a quick time movie.

* Movies - 100 quicktime movies to add to your pictures.

* Digital Puppets - choose a puppet and use the keyboard to make it move. I have found this one a great activity for encouraging students to vocalise.

In addition, there is a great library of musical themes to add to your creations, and some great backgrounds and drawing tools.
