Greater San Diego Academy

Purpose of Home School Academy:
Jamul Dulzura Union School District has developed our home school program to assist parents in providing quality education to their children. Enrollment is open to all families living within the San Diego County Area. Although proof of residency and inoculation records are required, it is not necessary to have an interdistrict transfer from your current district. Admission to Greater San Diego Academy Home School will be considered without regard to ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, or achievement level. The school will not charge tuition.

*The Greater San Diego Academy Home School Will Provide:*
•	Free Textbooks and other educational materials
•	Educational Guidelines appropriate for each child's skill level
•	Instructional Assistance in teaching techniques and different learning styles.
•	Enrichment Electives in Art, Dance, Music and Computer Technology
•	Classes in Spanish and English
•	Family Field Trips

•	To offer a valuable, quality alternative in California, state funded education.
•	To help students become constructive learners and productive community members.
•	To assist parents in their role as the principal teachers of their children.

*What are the Family's Responsibilites?*
•	Follow attendance policies which include completion and submission of Learning Records
•	Participate in consultant, student, and parent progress conferences as scheduled.
•	Commit to our philosophy of providing direct involvement in the education and instruction of children at home.

Greater San Diego Academy is a component of the Jamul Dulzura Charter School licensed by the State of California.

Charter Consultants hold a credential, emergency permit, or other document licensed by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. All lessons are based upon the California State Frameworks and Standards.
