alas MP3s are not allowed on the fortunecity servers for various legal reasons. HOWEVER here are sites where you can download lots of MP3s. I personally prefer using FTP or www.scour.net cos the http sites have too many pop-up windows and dead links. But the http links here don't have them pop-up windows. or just 1.

- Oth.net - Good, fast, no frills, effective FTP search engine.
- Scour - its a search engine for not only mp3s but also for .wav and pictures and videos. You have to download the Scour Media Agent to get at most of the files, but its faster 'cos its a direct connection to the owner's computer. Good for the ftp ignorant.

Music Odyssey has a large collection of jazz midis and lots of music of other genres. The best i've been to.
Jack's Shack : rather distracting place. I don't really like this place, but it's not bad lah. No disco songs tho'.
Laura's Midi Haven has a very lovely layout. And an extensive collection!
The New Bourbon Street - Listen To Me has lots of midis, including a DISCO section (hee hee!). Comprehensive layout and there's a lot of jazz midis here. Some of them are taken from
Down Beat Cafe. It is like the official Jazz midi page.

FYI Eternal are the all girl trio from the U.K. and have erm, 3 (?) albums out already. They sang 'Just a step from Heaven' and 'Power of a woman' and 'I wanna be the only one" to name a few. They also performed for the Pope.

Another one of the Best Groups In The World in my opinion.
Here are some Prodigy pages which are really good.
The Prodigy Central pretty good, but the mpeg files are no longer available
 This nicely redone site boasts a prodigy game and a 'Wak the Spice Girls and Chumbawamba' game! Also a bulletin board like thing and NEW real audio files (a couple).
The Official Prodigy site where you can listen to songs from 'Fat of the Land' either with shockwave or RealAudio.
The Prodigy are Liam Howlett (the songwriter), Maxim Reality (MC, rapper), Keith Flint (lead "singer" - the scary one) and Leeroy Thornton (dancer).

Rage Against the Machine: the complete page - really complete! a band intro, all their songs (albums, sinles, AND bootlegs AND promos) in real audio or mp3, pictures, discography, tabs etc etc. even though you may not like ratm, this is a fine example of good web design. (unlike my poor offering)

The Ultimate Vanessa-mae page lives up to it's name. Did you hear her latest song 'I feel love' ?It's a remake of the Donna Summer song. It's really quite good. I was surprised it was her (not because it was good as some cynics would say) as it is very different from her other stuff. There's singing on it too! Anyway, she's chio too.
