This Council plans the following major programmes during the year 1999-2000.

–     National Exhibition and Competition of Children and Youth under 18.
–     International exhibition and competition of paintings of children & youth under 18 in
       December, 1999.
–     National Drama Festival on "Women, their importance and role in society and their
       social problems" in April, 1999.
–     National Youth Drama Festival in October, 1999
–     Street theatre performances on child labour, population planning, human rights,
       environment etc.
–     Theatre workshops in province in collaboration with provincial ministries of Culture/
       Arts Council
–     School students drama festival 99 in November, 1999
–     College students drama festival 99 in November, 1999
–     Children plays in SOS, Faiz-Ul-Islam, Special education institutions, Saidpur, Noorpur,
       Tarlai, Bhara Kahoo, Golra Sharif etc. gradually expanding to nearby villages.
–     Drama academy classes 1999 at LMH with the financial assistance of Norway.
–     School drama club classes 1999
–     Folk Dance Festival, Karachi.
–     Musical Concerts/ Individual performances of up-coming artists particularly youth/
       youngsters from remote areas of all provinces.
–     Evening with celebrities to highlight their achievements in their respective fields of art
       and culture.
–     Youth Festivals inviting participation in paintings, music, drama etc. at Islamabad and
       all provincial capitals.
–     Revival of Saqafat as approved by Executive Committee and Board of Governors.
–     Publication involving groups of artists on subjects such as landscape, portrait,
       sculpture of Pakistan etc.
–     National Seminars on Cultural Integrity/ Image of Pakistan.
–     A series of workshops on VAD/ Music/ Theater etc.
–     Comprehending art and culture.
