Welcome to the Chocobo Page. This is where you'll find the different colors and their abilities in Final  Fantasy 7.

To start off:

You will need the highwind.
Have about 200,000 Gil.
The Chocobo Lure Materia
Raise Chocobo's class by racing     them in the Golden Saucer.
Take the Chocobo Sage just in case he forgot to mention something to you.
Chocobo Types:

Bad- walking with drooping head
Useless- the standing and swaying one
Walking- head up and just walking
Running- head up and just running
Dashing- head down and running super fast
Chocobo Locations:

Walking- Tracks southeast of Golden saucer
Running- Tracks on southeast island (where Mideel is)
Dashing-Tracks on western part of Northern Continent (Ice Area)
Nuts:

Nuts are needed to feed your Chocobos for them to breed.
Depending on the nut given to the mating pair will give you from a yellow to gold chocobos.
The Carbo Nut is used for getting either a green, blue, or black Chocobo. To get this nut you must steal it from the red dragon near the Bone Village grass area.
The Zeio Nut is used for getting the Gold Chocobo. To get this nut you must steal it from the goblins from  an island that is in the north-eastern part of the map.
