History on Nanaki
Long before Nanaki was born his kind and the humans in Cosmo Canyon had a great friendship. When Nanaki was born he had a different childhood than most because his species aged slower than the human children so he'd have not long lasting relationships.
When Nanaki was still an ifant the Canyon was attacked by the Gi tribe. The Gi would fight the people in Cosmo Canyon until they were destroyed. Seto, Nanaki's father, went to fight the Gi. Seto was a strong warrior but he could not fight all the Gi that attacked him, so he passed away. After the war Nanaki's mother did not tell her son of what had happened to her mate, afraid of her son repeating his father's bravery, so she told Nanki tha his father ran away from the fight and left Cosmo Canyon to its doom. From there on Nanaki thought of his father as a coward and was ashamed to be his son.
Nanaki and his mother fought against lesser tribes and he had formed scars and also became a great warrior.
While fighting Nanaki's mother still morned her mate's death so she started to wander farther and farther from the Canyon to find others of their kind. Finally she wandered for months and never returned. None of the Canyon's people could find the strong mother. When she could no longer be found a man named Bugenhagen adopted Nanaki as his grandson. Bugenhagen tought Nanaki about the stars and of the lifestream. Nanaki was a very intelligent creature always ready to learn and discover new things. Nanaki sometimes left the Canyon to find his mother. One day while searching he was captured by the Shrina Corporation.
A scientist named Hojo experimented on Nanaki giving him the name RED XIII. Nanaki was a smart boy so he acted as if he was a dumb beast until he could find a way out of this "prison".
One day Aeris Gainborough was captured and put her in a chamber with Nanaki to test her reaction to stress. RED XIII put on a great act on, to fool Hojo. This is when Aeris and RED XIII were rescused by Cloud, Tifa, and Baret. RED XIII joined the others on their journey.

Limited Break 1-Level 1: Sled Fang
Charges enemies at close range. Causes only moderate amount of damage at the begining of the game.

Howls and a yellow light comes from the ground which cast haste on all allies.
Limited Break 2-Level 1: Blood Fang
Like Sled Fang, but drains small amounts of HP and MP from an enemy.
Limited Break 2-Level 2: Stardust Ray
Howls and stars fall from the sky to attack the enemy.
Limited Break 3-Level 1: Howling Moon
Jumps into the air while howling to cast Haste and Beserk. Works only on Red XIII.
Limited Break 3-Level 2: Earth Rave
Peforms five attacks on enemies.
Limited Break 4: Cosmo Memory
Howls and a massive ball of energy from space forms above causing up to 9999 damage to all enemies.
