Vowels

WOW!! You thought learning all the previous vowels were tuff. Wait tell you put them together with other vowels.
Don't worry have confident in yourself and take a deep breath. You're going to need it for awhile.

Okay, Okay...
The last three vowels you saw in the previous lesson are two vowels sounded out together.
Since they are commonly used like the rest of the vowels, I've separated them to make it clear for you.
Let's see how this works..........

othash
sat OTH + sat ASH = OTHASH
say "empty" in Khmer, that's what it sounds like
The consonant appears above the short line and to the left of the double circle.

aash
sat A + sat ASH = AASH
The consonant appears between these two vowels.

oaash

sat OAH + sat ASH = OAHASH
say "to drag" or "to pull" or "to tow" in Khmer, that's what it sounds like
The consonant appears between "sat OAH".

Don't worry where the vowels go in relation to the consonant. I'll will show you in the upcoming lession.
