Horaki Hikari
Hikari is the Class Rep of Tokyo-3 #1 Junior High School Class 2-A. She is in
the same class as Shinji, Rei, and Asuka. After Asuka arrived, the two of them
became good friends. She is secretly in love with Suzuhara Touji.
Aida Kensuke
Kensuke is the good friend of Suzuhara Touji, and Ikari Shinji. He was the
first person to be nice to Shinji when he came to class 2-A. Kensuke is a HUGE
military otaku, and carries a video camera with him wherever he goes. He desparately
wants to pilot and Eva, and is very jealous of the pilots. He even went so far
as to ask Misato to let him pilot Unit-04. You start to feel really sorry
for him when his two best friends get to pilot Eva, and he doesn't. (Two best
friends? What? Who's the pilot of Unit-04 again?? hmm...)
Suzuhara Touji
Touji is best friends with Shinji and Kensuke. He speaks with an Osaka accent.
(Gainax, the producers of Evangelion, was founded by some guys who went to
college in Osaka.) Touji beat up Shinji when he first came to class 2-A,
because his little sister was injured in the fight between Unit-01 and the
third Angel, Sachiel. Eventually though, they became friends. Hikari is
secretly in love with him, and he likes her too I think.
