Programs - Information
UTEC offers courses required to complete the following Associate Degree Programs:
 
Accounting Electronics Engineering Technology
Business Administration Human Services Technology
College Transfer Machining Technology
Criminal Justice Office Systems Technology
Early Childhood Associate All courses are offered in day/evening
UTEC also offers all courses required to complete the following diploma programs:
 
Electronics Engineering Technology Machining Technology
Office Systems Technology All courses are offered in day/evening
For admission to any of the above Associate Degree or Diploma programs, you must apply by completing the following steps:
  1. Obtain an application form from UTEC admissions office and arrange a personal interview with an UTEC counselor. (Call 292-1200 for an appointment)
  2. Request that transcripts of all high school and post secondary academic work be sent directly to the UTEC admissions office. Previous college work will be evaluated for possible transfer of credit.
  3. Complete a placement inventory.
  4. Meet with an Advisor.
  5. Register for classes on the published registration date, and attend all orientation sessions.

Residency
A student must be a resident of North Carolina for at least one year prior to registration to qualify as in-state. Otherwise the student is considered out-of-state and must pay tuition at the out-of-state per semester rates plus fees.
