A working relationship with the Union County
Economic Development Commission is maintained by Union Technical education
Center. presentations to prospective industries relocating in Union County
ar done on an as-needed basis. A relationship with the regional manager
of Business and Industry Services for the North Carolina Community College
System is also maintained and has been instrumental in serving Union County.
Training for Union County industry
has the following results:

UTEC's representation on Union County Chamber
of Commerce's Economic Development Division, Educational Division, and
Manufacturing Division is vital as a collaborative, well communicated effort
as UTEC and the Chamber continue to serve business and industry in Union
County.
Union Technical Education Center continues
to work with Union County Public Schools to market Tech Prep to the business
and industrial community.
Visits and contacts with companies are
conducted by one major contact person on a rotating basis. Assessments
and action plans are developed from these visits.
