Creo que me he equivocado; quería en español.
Crec que m'he equivocat; volia en valencià.
I was born in 1,975, and I have lived in Mislata since one and half year later; Mislata is a town by Valencia. All my family comes from a small village in the highlands of Cuenca, Campillos Paravientos, that I consider my real home. I always was a fatty boy, but since a few years ago I have an adequate weight. My childhood was good and peaceful, without problems except that which come from my natural shyness. I grew with my school friends, my nephews (I am uncle since I was eight; a nice experience), and the Dire Straits' songs my brother heard on the nights.
My first experience with Internet was with a Role-Playing game named "Nightfall", and it was an absolutely failure; later, with the WWW, I started to access with more frequecy to the net, and in 1,996 I began this page, where I talk about all my hobbys.
I have several hobbys; Computer Science is one of them, because I studied it when I could have studied other course; I like listening to music (I love specially the blues), I play the guitar (not very well, I'm not Mark Knopfler), and I read (but not very frequently) japanese manga, but I love "Ranma 1/2", about told me my colleague from Producciones La Obeja Malla, Jorge Montesinos. In the latest years, my liking to comic and, more specifically, manga has grown, but not very much.
I also like cinema, alone or with friends; my favourite actress is Jodie Foster, who is like a goddess for me. I like watching good TV programs too (like "The Simpsons", "X files", "Ally McBeal", "South Park", "Friends" and specially "Seinfeld", among others); and I also love listening to radio. And I love soccer (but not the mass media pressure on soccer).
I also like going with my friends, talking, walking, working (I like my job a lot) and thinking about personal relationships and politics.
My office is at the new building for DSIC, but I still keep contact with Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (Technological Institute of Computer Science) in this same University, where I research in the fields of Pattern Recognition and Human Language Technology.
I have worked on several projects on these fields (about machine translation, dialogue systems, speech technologies aplication...). I have also made publications on conferences of these areas.
Apart from Pattern Recognition and Human Language Technology, I have research interests on Control Theory. I attended to lessons of the department of Systems Engineering and Automation to complet my knowledge of the area.
