049 [3.01-86] Angela Gets Fired (1) / Urlaub mit Folgen (1)

    Tony persuades (translate: forces) Angela to go on vacation. She
    doesn't want to go because she fears the agency doesn't get along
    without her. During the holidays an important call for Angela is
    rejected by Tony. This costs the agency an important client - and
    Angela the job: She gets fired.

    Marci applies for Montague, an elite school. Sam also wants to do so

    doesn't like the idea of Sam visiting a school so far away.

    party they meet Geoffrey.

055 [3.07-86] Jonathan, The Gymnast / Ohne Schweiss kein Gips

    Jonathan, because he takes life too seriously, should do something
    else than always studying. He decides in favor of gymnastics and
    Tony should teach him. During a competition he falls due to his
    overzealousness and breaks his collarbone. And this is something
    Angela really isn't happy about.

    Tony now alone at home - the kids are on a school trip to Washington -
    invites his old flame Tanya. Due to heavy snowfall Angela and Geoffrey
    couldn't make it to Maine and return unexpected.

    Sam has had a big argument with Bonnie. Tony wants to see them both
    together again but Sam would only agree if he for his part makes it up
    with his old nemesis from high school, Mickey. Therefore Tony invites
    Mickey - who in the meantime has become a Father. But when Tony annoys
    and teases him too much Mickey strikes a blow ...

    Sam has made it into the school's basketball team. Her boyfriend Todd
    hasn't and as she don't want to bother him she also goes without the
    team. Angela beats Tony in miniature golf.

    As Tony doesn't want to sell his only 'Tony Micelli Baseballcard',
    he tells Mr. Ferguson he has none. Angela, who has listened, now wants
    to get one for Tony. The dealer Angela has asked calls Tony shortly
    afterwards and offers him a lot of money which he really could need
    to buy Angela a christmas present.

    Due to heavy snowfall life in Fairfield is down. To pass the time
    stories are told. Topic: Who has brought together the two families -
    Sam, because she's the reason Tony wanted to move; Tony, cause he
    wanted to make life better for Sam; Jonathan, cause he needed someone
    who takes care of him; Angela, who needed someone for the household;
    or Mona, who has 'discovered' Tony ?

062 [3.14-87] Marie's Secret / Ein geheimnisvoller Maler

    Angela throws a surprise party for Tony because for the first time
    Angela's agency is in the winning zone and it was Tony who persuaded
    her to open an agency of her own. As a gift the painter Christos should
    portray Sam. Tony meets him and Christos tells him that he once gave
    lessons to a Marie Micelli. This message causes a little crisis
    for Tony who now thinks he hasn't known his wife well enough.

    car and totals it.

064 [3.16-87] Hit The Road, Chad / Ray Charles kommt zum Essen

    Chad has written a song for Sam. When Mona plays it at the agency Ray
    Charles accidentally hears it. Angela wants Ray to sing this song for
    a new commercial. Unfortunately Sam surprises Chad kissing an other
    girl and now doesn't want to hear anything from Chad or the song again.

    Nick is released from prison and parks himself at Angela's garage.
    He has now become a writer and has already finished a book which
    everyone likes. Angela has also found a publisher for Nick's work.
    [Note: One day after this episode originally aired, James Coco
    died of a heart attack. See also ep.079 A Farewell To Nick.]

    matter because she as the 'experienced' (equals being old) should
    advertise fashion for the young generation.

    overnight. Tony allows it not without remarking he has done much
    wilder things in his youth. During the stories told by Tony and
    Mona, Angela realizes that she has missed a lot. Now she wants
    to catch up on some 'action'. So she makes up a list what to to:
    Among these is a meeting with Jake 'The Snake' and a trip to his
    'Rock of Inspiration'.

    dream but also Mona's nightmare. After an argument between Mona and
    Angela Fiona quits because she doesn't want to stand in the way of
    them both. But Mona quits, too.
