Dunlop 594: "a small faint nebula, with a ray shooting out on the north side."

h: "globular cluster, bright; round; with an appendage to northward; 2.5' diameter." During the next sweep, he saw it as "bright, irregularly round, gradually brighter in the middle; 3' long; 2' broad with stars appended." The NGC calls it "globular, bright, pretty large with an irregular figure, gradually becoming brighter towards the middle."

Tom Lorenzin: “12.4M; 2.5'x 1' extent; soft ellipse with little brighter center”

Steve Coe, using a 13” f/5.6, notes: “Pretty bright, pretty large, little elongated 1.2 X 1 in PA 20, somewhat brighter middle at 100X.”
