Art borrowed from Adam WarrenLord Delaney looks to Haversom, nods and waves his head towards the door.

The General picks up Lord Delaney’s gesture and says  “Well Ladies and Gentlemen, I am really pressed for time right now and this is all the time I can spare.   Liaison Officer Vector will now give you a tour now of our facilities and answer any other questions you may have.”  With this the General leaves the room with Lord Delaney.  Marci folds up her computer and follows the two out.

After a moment, the man with spectacles, Vector, speaks “Okay, I am Liaison Officer Vector, Junctor to Muria, but you may call me Vector for the tour, as I hate formality; don’t you?”

Laian: “Your Murian aren’t you?”

Vector: “Yes I am.”

Laian: “Why do you have spectacles? I thought our medical technology could correct such things?”

Vector looks to Laian seriously “Well my dear, not all of Muria's ‘Mighty’ techonology is worth the price.” Vector’s face showed that this was not the time or place to discuss the issue further.

Vector then takes them for a two hour tour of Dion-V. They are shown the UAA mecha bays which is currently inhabited only by several AUX-01s (an ancient worker mekton)and a few Karkong-5 (mekton war one relics),. There is also alotment of 12 more bays for full-sized mecha. If asked where they are, Vector will tell them that the squad's mecha are late, and should be shipped from Elara soon.

Karin joked, "Elaran's always had shoddy  workmanship and schedules."

Though no one laughed, Daric smirked.

Then he gives them a look at Central Quadrant, where Dion City lays in the center of the Dion base through a viewing port.  The city looks forbidding, with the once great transparent dome shattered and open to the dusty atmosphere of Dion, with unfamiliar shaped skyscrapers in the midst of the barren and lifeless city.  There is a archaeology crew that can be seen excavating part of ancient city as they watch. It's part of the ongoing USA investigation into the origns of Algolian people; something Vector shows a passion for.

Next they are shown the living quarters, mess hall, training areas, gym, workstations, and eceteras of the UAA Base; which is the donought section around Dion City.  However, A few areas are still being reconstructed, offlimits, offline, restricted, or unable to get access to.  (This amounts to only 30% of Dion-V base.)

As a finale, passing the Great Vault, Vector takes them down an elevator and into the "recreation" area.

After two hours, Vector finally brings Fireflight team to an Elevator near the Great Vault.

The vault is the most impressive around this area which is used mostly for a makeshift cargo hold, and seems to be more a hanger that an actual vault.  A great symbol of unknown meaning still remains intact.

Unknown Symbol on the Great Vault“Interesting is it not?  The ‘Vault’ as we call it is one of the few mysteries still unexplored, and got it’s name as there seems to be no way into or opening that mekton-sized closet.  The USA has almost entirely given up to opening it, and are hoping to open it with something that may yet be found in the Dion City area I showed you earlier.  Heck, even the best minds of Muria have never been able to crack it.”  Vector looks to the vault for a moment allowing everyone to look to it as well as you wait for the elevator to get to this floor.

“However, that isn’t the real reason we are here, ah here’s the elvator, now if everyone can get in.” Vector heards Fireflight team in.  The elvator seems to be designed to allow up to three trucks in it, so there seems to be no problem about space for crew and tour guide.

You descend quickly, but it still takes a few moments, and as the doors open, you are all shocked to see a green lawn and living trees!  Beyond the small park, a street with small buildings extends toward a cavern wall. In fact, inside this large subterranean cavern seems to be an entire town filled with life an vigor; unlike the dead one above.

“Dion Cavern City!” Annouces Vector.

Vector explains that the cavern is slowly being transformed into a living area for the famllies of the base. He then hands you ID cards, UAA commlinks, and UAA Padds, and departs, leaving you to explore your new surroundings.  (As you have the rest of the day off.)

The players can spend the next few hours their new home. (Dion Cavern City is exactly the same as presented in Operation: Rimfire pg. 21, with only a few more residential buildings.

A player can opt to have their living quarters moved from Dion Base to Cavern City if they wish, however, the base provides the quarters at no charge, while in Cavern City you must pay rent as it is privately owned not military.
