Chapter 3 - The Chance To See Her Again

Training was getting tougher and tougher day by day, but my motivation was getting higher and higher as well. That was simply because we were exchanging messages almost everyday, and regaining back our friendship was one of the best things that could have happened to me during that time. When I saw my plattoon mates chatting with their girlfriends through the phones, I don't feel jealous or envied at all. Why? Because I had Ada to chat with.

A week had gone by without me realising it. Next week would be Parents' Visiting Day already. I can't wait to see my loved ones again. I called my parents to come and guess what? They can't make it! I felt so disappointed. I thought to myself, "Is money more important than your son? Do you know how much your son misses you?" If only my mum knows that. Fortunately, my grandma will be coming.

Suddenly, I realised that Ada's brother was also having his BMT here. Thurs, I could ask her if she was coming! Yes! I may have the chance to see her again! That would be one of my wildest dreams come true if she comes. Without any hesitation, I messaged her to ask if she would be coming. I remembered it was at night when I sent her the message. I fell asleep even before I got her reply.

I woke up the next morning. The first thing I did was not to brush my teeth, but was to see my handphone for her message.

"1 message received".

I opened my inbox and looked at her message.

"Yah. Maybe coming. So excited..."

Woo!! I can't believe my eyes when I saw that. I quickly replied to her saying that I wanted to meet her that day. She followed up by saying, "May we meet ok." Life just got better and better for me. Everything between me and her was going smooth. My countdown to Parents' Visiting Day began. I can't wait for it to come. Eventually, it came.....
