The Thing

John Carpenter's horror masterpiece used revolutionary special effects when it was made back in 1982. They still hold up, even by todays, superlightningfastcomputergeneratedraytracedgouradshadedrotoscopedmoneyeating standards. This film is pure excellence all the way, and it has one of those classic endings that is still talked about today.

That very night the s ame dog mutates into an otherwordly creature and eats all of their other dogs. The inhabitants of the station soon find out that this alien 'thing', slowly replaces each cell in a living organism until it is a perfect copy - indistinguishable from the original. Can they stop it before it gets out into the open?
