My Favourite film of all time. This film had it all (well, cinematically). It had great acting, big guns, excellent plot and dialogue, top camera work, and perfect direction- but most of all; it made an impact on me. It also starred an eleven year old Natalie Portman in her first role. She's now one of my favourite actresses, and I follow all of her work.

The Cast:
  • Gary Oldman
  • Jean Reno
  • Natalie Portman
  • Danny Aiello

  • The Crew:
  • Director : Luc Besson
  • Producers: Luc Besson, Bernard Grenet
  • Executive Producer: Claude Besson
  • Screenplay: Luc Besson

  • The story:
Matilda (Natalie Portman) is a kid whose dad is involved in a drug ring. Leon (Jean Reno) is the best hitman in New York. Matilda's family is gunned down in a botched drug raid by corrupt cop, Stansfield (Gary Oldman). She seeks refuge with Leon, and a strong bond grows between them. But Matilda is determined to get revenge on Stansfield for killing her 4-year-old brother.

    Best quote:
Stansfield: "I like these calm little moments before the storm. It reminds me of Beethoven."

    Best scene:
The swat team storm scene at the end.

All characters in the movie Leon were played with incredible realism, to a good script. This, really, is what makes a good movie.
