Top: Graham Chapman, Eric Idle et Terry Gilliam. Bottom: Terry Jones, John Cleese, et Michael Palin
Graham Chapman is, of course, a member of the comedy group, Monty Python. He is said to have lived the role of Python. While the others acted it, he was busily being a loony throughout his life. Along with Graham Chapman were fellow loonies John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, Eric Idle, and Michael Palin. One must also not forget Neil Innes, Connie Booth, and Carol Cleveland who were interchangabley dubbed 7th Python. The Pythons created 4 seasons of Monty Python's Flying Circus --- the final season without John Cleese, 4 movies (And Now For Something Completely Different, Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life), one short flick (not sure whether to count it as a movie itself so I say --- Crimson Permenent Assurance), and did collaborate on many projects before and after Python. For a more comprehensive history of Python try reading some of the great Python books out there, such as Monty Python Speaks!, The First 280 Years of Monty Python, The Monty Python Encyclopedia, and Life of Python. Also if you hunger for more do visit some of the other Python sites on the Links page.
