About Advice From HouseTreePerson

HouseTreePerson was founded by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who felt there were insufficient internet resources for parents looking for help with their children. Whether your child has already been diagnosed with a mental health disorder or if your child is just exhibiting behaviors you either don't understand or want to stop, you can get professional advice and education here.

The information on this site is provided to you at no charge. If you have additional questions and seek specific advice, there is a one-time charge of $30.00. The information you receive will be based on the answers you provide on our detailed questionnaire as well as any additional comments you are able to give. You will receive a response within 48 hours via e-mail. The advice you receive will be from a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in children and families. If additional clarification is needed, you will be contacted via e-mail and there is no charge for these additional communications with our professional.

There are some situations that are best handled quickly and in person. If the expert handling your information request feels this is the case, they will notify you immediately and there will be NO CHARGE for their referral to a professional in your area.

Our experts will not be able to provide a complete diagnosis, nor will they be able to provide therapy via the internet. Both of these tasks require in-person contact to be conducted in the most ethical and effective manner.

What our experts CAN do for you is to provide objective insight into possible causes for the behaviors your child is exhibiting, as well as tried and true methods to deal with these behaviors that you can do at home as a parent. You will also receive information on how to know when problems your child is experiencing require outside intervention. And, if at any time you need additional information on the same subject, you can contact HouseTreePerson again and recieve a follow-up at no charge.
