Edible Dough Animals
    Materials
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • Food coloring
  • Cake-decorating candy

Directions

  1. Combine the corn syrup, margarine, sugar and vanilla in a bowl.
  2. Gradually add the flour while mixing. Mix until the dough is smooth, adding additional flour if the dough is too sticky.
  3. Divide the dough into different balls in individual bowls. Add food coloring to each ball and mix it in. Refrigerate for a few hours.
Use this edible dough to create people, animals or dinosaurs. Add eyes, hair and faces with pieces of candy.
Wild Face Paint
    Materials
  • Paper cups (a cup for each color you are making)
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon white cold cream
  • Food coloring

Directions

  1. Cut off the top half of your paper cups.
  2. In each cup combine 1 tablespoon corn starch with 1 teaspoon cold cream and a couple drops of food coloring.
  3. Mix ingredients until smooth and creamy. Add a few drops of water if necessary to mix more easily.

    Extra face paint can be saved if covered tightly with plastic wrap or stored in baby food jars.
