Caffeine does not mix pregnancy
Since the placenta does not block caffeine from the baby, the baby can become dependent on the drug. Caffeine also alters the baby's heart rate and respiration. Besides the risk of miscarriage, researchers have found that heavy caffeine consumption during pregnancy can significantly increase the baby's risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Caffeine depresses the baby's respiratory system, and these effects can last all throughout infant hood, even after the baby is no longer  nourished by the mother.

This relates to our topic of the effect of stimulants in this case caffeine on the regeneration of planarian by demonstrating the effect of caffeine on a fetus.
