Description of Planaria
Planarians are unsegmented worms of the phylum Platyhelminthes. They are the simplest of all organisms with bilateral symmetry. Planarians move by the use of cilia on their ventral meaning abdominal surface. They lack a respiratory and circulatory system, but they do have a nervous, reproductive, and excretory system. Most planarians are less than 1 cm long but some can grow to 60 cm.
