 |
|
The observation deck was crowded with
tourists
|
 |
|
This
is how the deck look up there |
 |
|
Hmmm...enigmatic,
mysterious...who could it be? |
 |
I came across this
dragon at the obsevation deck. Huh! I ain't
afraid of you! Hehe! :-) |
 |
|
It's not only indoors,
look-out-the-glass thing. You can also
go to the external decks. It's cold and gusty outside there. |

I tried to capture
pictures in such a way that they can be merged to form an almost 360
degree
picture. However, only two of them can be merged. Oh well,
practice makes perfect... |

There's no better place to see the whole city
from a bird's eye view than the Rialto Towers Observation Deck. The
observation tower is the city's tallest building. Well, actually, it's the
tallest building of the southern hemisphere. You pay about $30 per entry to
go 55 storeys into the sky. The observation deck is circular, allowing you
to see the city in its entirety, 360 degrees. Melbourne at your feet! Also
at the observation deck is a small cafe and a souvenir shop. Touch-screen
information stations can tell you about places of the city in 4 different
languages, English, Chinese, Japanese and French. Telescopes for a more
detailed viewing, are also available. You can also go out to the external
decks if you don't want to stay indoors and look at the city through glass
panels. Out there is cold and gusty. A must visit tourist hot spot if you do
come to Melbourne some day.
