Perth
is a prosperous, vibrant city in southwestern Australia which lies
on |
| the Swan
River and the Canning River. It is the capital of the state of
Western Australia or WA. It is an important railroad hub and, with
nearby communities, forms a strategic manufacturing and commercial
center of the state. It's main products include metal, processed
food, refined petroleum, rubber goods, and printed materials. |
Having a maritime
influence, Perth has hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Acclaimed as
having Australia's best city beaches, spots such as Cottesloe Beach offer
spectacular views of the setting sun.
| I've been to Perth
when I was very little. It was the first time I've been to this
lovely, peaceful country. The year 1991 I think. I didn't |
| visit
the city centre when I was there but I explored places that were
more to nature instead. In HAS's Perth section, you'll find only
galleries of pictures. As I said it's been a long time and it's only
in Jan 2000 that I've started to build this homepage. I hope you
